Responsibilities
Sowell serves as the director of 16 Nurse Navigators on the Community Registered Nurse Navigator project. The project has placed Nurse Navigators across the state of Tennessee to identify barriers to immunizations and implement interventions to address these barriers. In this role, she works closely with the nurses and other project leadership to meet the goals of this grant.
Biography
Prior to this role, Sowell worked as an RN in the ICU and then as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the primary care setting. She is currently pursuing her DNP (her third degree from UT) to become a better nurse leader.
