Physical Assessment Lab

The Physical Assessment Lab is located on the corner of Volunteer Boulevard and UT Drive at 2233 Volunteer Blvd in Service Building C. This lab is used for both undergraduate and graduate programs, and is primarily used for training students to perform physical assessments. The lab is also occasionally used as an additional skills training space and classroom. In addition to physical exam tables, the lab also houses mid-level fidelity manikins used to deliver sound training and the physiological features necessary to learn how to do a physical exam, and a variety of specialty skills-focused task trainers. As needed, simulated patients are also used to allow opportunities for communication-related learning experiences aligning with healthcare history taking and evaluation of head-to-toe physical assessments.
