The Innovation North site includes approximately 8000 square feet of simulation space. The simulated space encompasses a 12-bed (2670 sq. ft.) skills lab, 4-acute care high-fidelity simulation rooms with adjoining 10-person capacity debriefing rooms and control rooms, and a classroom holding up to 36 people. There are also two large classrooms for shared learning spaces holding up to 54 students each.
Each bed space within the 12-bed skills area includes a working headwall with compressed air and suction, an acute care patient bed, and a computer charting station. Additionally, six bed spaces within the skills lab are equipped with audiovisual recording hardware for student evaluation. The lab will be fully supplied with manikins, small equipment, and supplies similar to the Learning Lab in Service Building A. The four high-fidelity simulation rooms also include working headwalls, manikins, and small equipment. All four high-fidelity rooms are also outfitted with SimCapture Enterprise audiovisual software and hardware for recording and evaluating simulation performances.
