ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

All students who wish to pursue a nursing graduate degree must first be admitted through the Graduate School. We encourage you to review the admission requirements below prior to applying.

All students who wish to pursue a graduate nursing degree must meet the overall requirements of the graduate school in addition to the College of Nursing requirements.  

Degree Programs 

DNP Admissions

The DNP program at the College of Nursing uses a holistic admissions process in which the applicant’s essay and personal interview are given priority. These items are used to assess the applicant’s previous educational and work-related accomplishments and their readiness for the DNP program.

PhD Admissions

The PhD program at the College of Nursing uses a holistic admissions process in which the applicant’s essay and personal interview are given priority. These items are used to assess the applicant’s previous educational and work-related accomplishments and their readiness for PhD study.

Graduate Certificates

The Graduate Certificate Programs at the College of Nursing uses a holistic admissions process in which the applicant’s essay is given priority. The essay is used to assess the applicant’s previous educational and work-related accomplishments and their readiness for the certificate program.
