Open Houses and Information Sessions

Hear about what it’s like to be in the College of Nursing! Faculty, staff, and ambassadors with the College of Nursing will talk about labs, clinicals, courses, and more. Admission requirements and application steps will also be covered.

College of Nursing Building Tours

We’d love to show you around! The College of Nursing offers guided tours of our building to prospective students, families, and guests who want to explore our classrooms, simulation labs (if available), and student spaces. Come see where future nurses learn, grow, and prepare to lead in healthcare.

All tours will begin at the College of Nursing Building located at 1200 Volunteer Blvd in room 203. A sign up is required for the tour. Please click here to view available dates.

High School Info Sessions 

Students seeking to apply to UT’s College of Nursing upon graduating high school can learn more about the freshman direct-admit process at High School Info Sessions. 

Transfer BSN/BSN Scholars Info Sessions 

Current UT students and those transferring from other institutions may apply for an open seat in the Traditional BSN pathway or the BSN Scholars pathway. The BSN Scholars pathway is a partnership between UT and UT Medical Center that helps students cover their tuition as they pursue a BSN degree. 

BSN Scholars Open House 

Students interested in the BSN Scholars pathway are invited to an Open House at UT Medical Center. Students will get the chance to hear from UTMC staff and also learn more about the BSN Scholars pathway.

Transfer Admissions and NursingCAS Support Sessions

This group session is only for transfer students interested in the Accelerated BSN, Traditional BSN (Transfer), and BSN Scholars programs. High school students should register for a High School Info Session.

Join the College of Nursing Office of Student Services to get specialized admissions and NursingCAS support! Ask questions about the application process, timeline, and minimum admission criteria for our transfer programs, as well as how to navigate the NursingCAS application portal. Transcripts will not be evaluated until the time of application processing.

Understanding Transfer Credit Support Sessions

Join this group session to gain the tools and knowledge to assess your own transfer credit. Open to anyone, especially transfer students from other colleges or universities, college advisors, high school students earning college credit, and high school counselors. Transcripts will not be evaluated during this session.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Info Sessions 

The ABSN program is geared towards students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field.

RN-BSN Info Sessions and Open Houses 

The RN-BSN program is a 100% online program for nurses looking to earn their BSN. An associate’s degree or diploma in nursing is required to be eligible for the RN-BSN program. 

Graduate Programs Info Sessions 

To learn about the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Philosophy, or Graduate Certificates, join a graduate programs info session.
