All nursing students are encouraged to participate in a study abroad opportunity. Some international experiences require nursing classes prior to the trip, while others do not have that requirement. Most College of Nursing’s international experiences spans 7 to 10 days. There may be longer international experiences that occur over the summer break.
Currently, we offer programs in the following countries: Panama, Kenya, Peru, and Belize.
The expenses for an international experience are typically around $4,000. Partial scholarships for these opportunities are available through the College of Nursing, Center for Global Engagement, and the Honors College.
