Biography

Sanjaya Regmi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Memphis, an MPH in Epidemiology, and a Bachelor’s in Medical Imaging Technology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Regmi’s research focuses on identifying resilience factors to mitigate the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and addressing social determinants of health, particularly in marginalized rural communities. He is currently involved in the Community Registered Nurse Navigator (CRNN) project, which uses culturally tailored strategies to reduce vaccine hesitancy in rural Tennessee. With over 12 publications and 15 conference presentations, Regmi is a recognized contributor to public health research. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Membership and Communication Committee for the Global Health Maternal and Child Health section of the American Public Health Association (APHA). He has more than 10 years of experience in global health, international projects, research, and teaching.
