Biography
Hicks is a Clinical Instructor at the University of Tennessee, College of Nursing, where she teaches and mentors nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings. With a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Hicks is a board-certified Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNS-BC) specializing in Adult Health and Nursing Education. Her professional goals focus on advancing nursing education and supporting the development of future nurses, helping them achieve their career aspirations and excel in their practice. Hicks is committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, inspiring students to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. Outside of her professional life, Hicks enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring the outdoors through hiking. She also loves caring for her dogs, which brings her joy and balance. Hicks is passionate about teaching and is dedicated to preparing the next generation of nurses for success in the healthcare field.
