Biography
Ashmita Thapa is a postdoctoral research associate at the college. She received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Kentucky with additional training in applied statistics. Her research examines social determinants of health, depressive symptoms, and quality of life among rural and Appalachian patients with cardiovascular disease. She has contributed to NIH- and PCORI-funded research and published in leading cardiovascular and rural health journals. Her work aims to advance equitable, evidence-based interventions for rural populations.
