University of Tennessee Knoxville’s College of Nursing researchers are leading the advancement of nursing science in health systems and communities with a special focus on equity, diversity, and reducing health disparities. Research focuses on cutting edge design and methodologies that support clinical and translational research in individual and population health. National and local policy provides an overarching frame for the research. The College of Nursing Office of Research is fully staffed to support faculty, staff, and students. The Office of Research is led by the Associate Dean for Research (ADR) who provides research mentoring and consultation to faculty and students. The Director of Research Administration provides oversight for the daily operational management including proposal development and submission, pre- and post-award financial management for sponsored projects, and related compliance. The Administrative Specialist assists faculty with research-related tasks. All members of the Office of Research focus on advancing nursing science, research rigor, and compliance with local and national regulations.
