Clinical Assistant Professor
Laura Barry received her BSN from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and her MSN in nursing education from Tennessee Tech University. She is a certified emergency nurse (CEN) and a trauma-certified registered nurse (TCRN).
Ms. Barry teaches in a clinical role at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, within the undergraduate nursing program. Her professional interests include prehospital care, trauma nursing, and emergency response. Her aspiring scholarly interests include care delivered in the prehospital setting, barriers to healthcare within the rural community, and factors affecting the undergraduate nursing scholar.
Ms. Barry continues to practice PRN within a staff nurse role at a level one trauma center. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Emergency Nursing Association, and the Society of Trauma Nurses.
