Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Morgan earned her DNP with a concentration in Family Practice from East Tennessee State University in 2018. Her scholarship focused on Implementation of Spirometry in rural primary care. She earned a MSN (FNP concentration) from UT Knoxville in 2006 and initial BSN from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Her research interests include respiratory disease management (COPD/Asthma) in primary care (especially rural primary care).
Dr. Morgan teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Tennessee, College of Nursing. She serves as the Compliance Officer for the College of Nursing and is the Co-Chair for the Undergraduate Student Affairs Committee. Her scholastic interests include Physical Assessment, COPD and Asthma, as well as Knowledge Translation and Implementation Models for application of Evidenced Based Practice.
Dr. Morgan serves as the Secretary for Tennessee Nurses Association District 2. Additionally, she sits on the nominations committee for the Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma (Sigma Theta Tau). Dr. Morgan won the Daisy Faculty award for 2019.
