Britta Svoboda

Britta earned a Master of Science in Education in Higher Education Leadership with an emphasis in Professional Development, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing and Advertising, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is currently working on her PhD in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

Britta currently serves as the RN to BSN Advisor in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee. She is an active member of the Global Community for Academic Advising, also known as the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC), and a proud member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an educational research community.

Britta identifies as an advocate for online and nontraditional students, as well as students with disabilities. She is focused on the student experience from the beginning stages in the admissions process all the way through graduation. She also enjoys being a mentor to a high school student through the Mentor 2.0 Program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee.
