College of Nursing Announces 2024 Emerging Leaders Program Cohort

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Nursing is proud to announce the selected cohort for the 2024 Emerging Leaders Program. This year, ten faculty and staff members have been chosen for the yearlong leadership development program, which is designed to enhance leadership skills, foster professional growth, and equip participants with tools to navigate the challenges facing nursing education and healthcare today.

The Emerging Leaders Program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes sessions on leadership styles, executive presence, budget management, and conflict resolution. Participants will engage in immersive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and strategic planning exercises aimed at preparing them to take on future leadership roles within the college and the nursing profession.

This program will empower them to lead with resilience, creativity, and innovation, as well as address critical issues in healthcare and nursing education.”

Participants will work closely with experienced mentors and engage in hands-on projects throughout the year, culminating in a capstone experience that allows them to apply their newfound leadership skills in real-world scenarios.
